QuietAgent / Careers

The Founding Team

Do the best work of your career. Quietly.

QuietAgent deploys high-agency operators, amplified by frontier AI, inside organizations of every size. We are assembling the founding team ahead of the 2027 launch. Twenty roles, four tracks, one bar: you ship things nobody assigned you.

How hiring works here

QuietAgent launches publicly in 2027, and we are honest about what that means. We review every application as it arrives, interview early for founding roles, and extend offers as launch engagements land. Apply once and we keep you posted with the truth about timing. Bands below are indicative and set at offer.

3-minute apply

No cover letter. No account creation. One form, and your resume is optional if your work speaks elsewhere.

No black hole

A human reads every application and every application gets an answer. Silence is not a rejection method here.

No gauntlets

One conversation about your work, one working session. No six-round trivia, no take-home that takes a week.

Generous by design

Top-of-market bands, founding equity, remote-flexible, unlimited PTO, and a real budget for hardware and frontier AI access.

01Open Tracks · 20 Roles

You embed inside a client's business, find the real constraint, and build the system that removes it. Pioneered at companies like Palantir, rebuilt here at post-AI economics. You want client-facing engineering work on purpose, not as a detour.

What you will do

  • Deploy into unfamiliar businesses and understand them faster than the people inside expected
  • Ship something real in the first sprint: days, not quarters
  • Build systems that run in the client's environment, under their accounts, documented so they own them
  • Own the outcome end to end, including the number that proves it moved

What we look for

  • You have shipped things nobody assigned you. This is the single strongest predictor here
  • Comfortable being a beginner in a new domain weekly
  • AI fluency as a working habit, visible in five minutes, not a bullet on a resume
  • You can sit with a skeptical operations manager and be believed

The gap between what frontier models can do and what companies actually run on is the largest source of untapped leverage in business. Your job is closing it: retrieval systems, document pipelines, classification, extraction, and the unglamorous glue that makes AI work in production.

What you will do

  • Design and ship AI workflows: retrieval, document processing, extraction, summarization pipelines
  • Evaluate what actually works against real business data, not benchmarks
  • Harden prototypes into systems that run unattended for months
  • Set the internal bar for what production-grade AI engineering looks like

What we look for

  • Software engineering fundamentals first, model knowledge second
  • Hands-on experience shipping LLM-backed features to real users
  • Healthy skepticism: you verify AI output before it reaches anyone
  • Bias toward the boring, durable solution over the clever one
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

Most of our work rides on frontier models. Some of it needs someone who understands what is happening underneath: evaluation design, fine-tuning decisions, embedding quality, and knowing when a smaller model beats a bigger one.

What you will do

  • Design evaluation harnesses that tell us whether systems actually work
  • Make the fine-tune-or-prompt call with evidence, not fashion
  • Own embedding, ranking, and retrieval quality across client systems
  • Turn repeated patterns into reusable internal components

What we look for

  • Real depth in model training, tuning, or evaluation, with the math to back it
  • Production experience: your models have met real users and survived
  • You choose the smallest tool that solves the problem
  • Written clarity. Most of this job is explaining tradeoffs in writing
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

We do not care where you learned. We care that you can make frontier models do reliable, repeatable work: structured output, agent workflows, evaluation loops, and the judgment to know when the model is confidently wrong.

What you will do

  • Design, test, and version the prompts and agent workflows inside client systems
  • Build evaluation loops so quality is measured, not vibes
  • Document patterns so the tenth version of a problem takes a fraction of the first
  • Pair with engineers to turn working prompts into working systems

What we look for

  • A portfolio of things you have actually built with AI, whatever your background
  • Systematic habits: you test variations, keep notes, and can say why something works
  • You catch fabrication and hallucination before the client does
  • Hunger to grow into a full deployment role. This seat is a launchpad
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

Clients bring ambiguous problems. You turn them into buildable architectures: what data moves where, what runs in whose environment, what the security boundary is, and what the simplest durable design looks like.

What you will do

  • Lead technical scoping inside client environments during the Scope stage
  • Design architectures that respect client constraints: budget, privacy, existing stack
  • Set data boundaries before anything is built, in writing
  • Review builds for durability. The bar is two years of unattended operation

What we look for

  • Senior engineering background with real architecture ownership
  • You design for the least technical person who has to operate the system
  • Fluent across cloud, data, and AI layers without vendor religion
  • Comfortable telling a client the honest thing, including do not build this
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

You sit at the intersection of the deal and the build. When a prospect describes a bottleneck, you are the one who shows up with a working prototype instead of a slide.

What you will do

  • Build rapid proofs of concept that answer whether something is possible in days
  • Join diagnostic conversations and translate business pain into technical shape
  • Hand working prototypes to deployment teams with clean documentation
  • Feed what prospects actually ask for back into the pattern library

What we look for

  • Engineer first: you build, not just demo
  • Comfortable in front of buyers without slipping into pitch mode
  • Fast, pragmatic prototyping across web, data, and AI tooling
  • You would rather show than tell, and you can do both
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

Most of what we ship is the application layer of deployed intelligence: internal web apps, dashboards, and tools that make a client's operation run without heroics. You own features from database to interface.

What you will do

  • Ship internal applications end to end: schema, API, interface, deploy
  • Work inside client stacks and make new tools feel native to them
  • Move from ambiguous request to working software in days
  • Leave every codebase better documented than you found it

What we look for

  • Strong across front and back end with real production ownership
  • You ship fast without shipping fragile
  • AI-augmented development as a daily habit, not an experiment
  • You build for the person who has to use it, not for the demo
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

APIs, services, queues, and the data flows that keep client systems honest. Language matters less than judgment: we care that your services run for years, not that you memorized a framework.

What you will do

  • Design and build services, APIs, and automations inside client environments
  • Integrate systems that were never designed to talk to each other
  • Instrument everything: if the outcome is not measured, it did not happen
  • Write runbooks a competent non-author can follow at 2am

What we look for

  • Deep experience in at least one backend ecosystem, curiosity across the rest
  • Strong instincts for reliability, idempotency, and graceful failure
  • You prefer the boring architecture that survives to the clever one that impresses
  • Clear written communication with technical and non-technical people

Data should move cleanly and power real decisions, without endless pipeline maintenance or corporate bureaucracy. Whether your roots are in data engineering, analytics engineering, data science, or software with a data focus, we value the ability to build clean pipelines that deliver practical outcomes.

What you will do

  • Design and maintain automated ETL and ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
  • Work with vector databases, document pipelines, and retrieval architectures that power AI systems
  • Model clean, scalable schemas that make querying simple downstream
  • Monitor pipeline health and build architectures that run without constant intervention

What we look for

  • Hands-on depth in data engineering, data science, or data-heavy software work
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python or similar, and modern warehousing or orchestration tools
  • Familiarity or real curiosity about embeddings, vector stores, and LLM integration
  • You translate complex data concepts into plain language stakeholders act on

Our promise to clients is systems that run unattended in their environment. You are the reason that promise holds: infrastructure as code, monitoring, cost sanity, and deployments that do not require us.

What you will do

  • Stand up client-owned infrastructure across the major clouds, minimal and documented
  • Build CI, monitoring, and alerting that tells the client the truth about their system
  • Automate the handoff: a client should be able to operate everything we leave behind
  • Keep run costs visible and low. Clients should know exactly what things cost

What we look for

  • Real production ownership of cloud infrastructure, not just pipelines
  • Infrastructure as code as a default, with restraint about tooling sprawl
  • Security-minded by habit: least access, clean secrets, revocable everything
  • You design for the client's team to run it after you are gone
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

Half of business friction is data trapped in one tool while the work happens in another. You live in APIs, webhooks, and event flows, and you make disconnected stacks behave like one system.

What you will do

  • Build integrations across CRMs, ERPs, help desks, spreadsheets, and whatever else the client runs
  • Design event-driven flows with retries, idempotency, and honest error handling
  • Reverse-engineer under-documented APIs without breaking anyone's contract
  • Document every integration so it survives vendor changes and staff turnover

What we look for

  • Deep API and webhook experience from the backend side
  • You have met bad third-party documentation and won
  • Careful with other people's production data, always
  • Pragmatic: the goal is flow, not architectural purity
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

Software fails at adoption, and adoption is our problem, not the client's. You take working systems the last mile: configuration, onboarding, training, and the small fixes that decide whether people actually use the thing.

What you will do

  • Own the System and Steady state stages: harden, document, train, hand off
  • Configure and adapt systems inside the client's real environment and real constraints
  • Run training that survives the person who attended it
  • Catch the friction the builders cannot see and fix it before it kills adoption

What we look for

  • Background in technical support, onboarding, solutions work, or engineering
  • Patient, precise communication with non-technical users
  • Scripting or low-code fluency and genuine comfort in other people's stacks
  • You measure success by whether the client stops needing you
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

Being embedded inside other companies' systems is a privilege with obligations. You own our security posture: least-access practices, data boundaries, clean exits, and the written answers that make buyers comfortable before they ask twice.

What you will do

  • Define and enforce access, secrets, and data-handling standards across every engagement
  • Design data boundaries for regulated environments: student records, financial data, health-adjacent work
  • Build toward formal certifications as the company scales, SOC 2 first
  • Review client-facing systems for security debt before it ships

What we look for

  • Hands-on security engineering depth: IAM, secrets management, audit trails
  • Working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, and privacy frameworks
  • You make security enable the work rather than blocking it
  • Plain-language writing. Your best control is a document a buyer believes

You build the systems that grow QuietAgent itself and our clients: outbound infrastructure, signal monitoring, attribution, and the research automation that makes one operator perform like a team.

What you will do

  • Build and run outbound systems: sequencing, personalization at scale, deliverability, the data layer under it
  • Automate account research so prep that took forty minutes takes four
  • Instrument the funnel so decisions come from numbers, not anecdotes
  • Ship growth experiments weekly and kill the ones that do not pay

What we look for

  • A blend of engineering ability and growth instinct, from either direction
  • Hands-on with CRMs, enrichment tools, and the modern outbound stack
  • You treat reply rates and meeting rates as engineering metrics
  • Allergic to spray-and-pray. Specific beats loud, always
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

Our sales motion is diagnosis, not pitch. You join conversations with operators and executives, find the quantifiable bottleneck, and show what deployed intelligence would do about it, sometimes by building a slice of it live.

What you will do

  • Lead technical discovery: map the process, find the constraint, attach a number
  • Build and run demos grounded in the prospect's actual workflow
  • Scope first engagements small, concrete, and winnable
  • Feed the objection library and battlecards from what you hear in the field

What we look for

  • Technical sales experience with a track record you can defend
  • Enough engineering to be dangerous: APIs, data, AI tooling
  • You disqualify fast and generously. Telling someone no is part of the job
  • Calm in the room. The brand is understated confidence, not pitch energy
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

Enterprise buyers have consultant fatigue and software fatigue. You sell the third thing: a small, measurable first engagement that proves itself in weeks. Land small, expand on results.

What you will do

  • Own enterprise relationships from first conversation through expansion
  • Navigate procurement, security review, and champion turnover without losing the thread
  • Run the land-small motion: first deals sized so yes is easy
  • Build reference relationships that compound into the referral network

What we look for

  • Enterprise quota experience with numbers you will happily show
  • You sell business outcomes, not technology, and can hold a CFO conversation
  • Comfortable in a founding GTM seat where the playbook is still being written
  • Low ego, high follow-through. No theater, including sales theater
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

Half enterprise seller, half embedded operator. You do not hand off after signature: you stay close to the deployment, find the next bottleneck from inside, and expand accounts by being genuinely useful rather than persistently present.

What you will do

  • Own a small book of enterprise accounts end to end, from first diagnosis through multi-year expansion
  • Work alongside deployed engineers inside the client's business
  • Spot expansion signals from the inside: the denied headcount request, the process that breaks at volume
  • Turn measured outcomes into references, and references into pipeline

What we look for

  • Deep technical understanding paired with enterprise expansion experience
  • You could scope an engagement alone and defend it to a CTO
  • Patience for the long game: expansion revenue is earned, not extracted
  • The judgment to leave money on the table when it protects the relationship
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

Scale-tier clients keep working with us across sequential bottlenecks. You are their continuity: technically fluent, proactive, and honest about what is working and what is not.

What you will do

  • Own the health of live client systems: monitoring, small fixes, steady improvements
  • Run the quiet cadence: written weekly updates, same-day response on anything blocking
  • Diagnose issues hands-on before escalating, and escalate with a reproduction, not a guess
  • Surface the client's next bottleneck and tee it up honestly

What we look for

  • Background in technical support, account management, or early engineering
  • Scripting and SQL fluency; you read logs without flinching
  • Writing that clients forward to their boss unedited
  • You measure yourself on client outcomes, not ticket counts
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

The patterns that repeat across engagements are the product roadmap, discovered rather than guessed. You find what repeats, spec the reusable version, and ship internal tooling that makes every deployment faster.

What you will do

  • Mine engagements for repeated patterns worth productizing
  • Write specs engineers thank you for: crisp problem, honest constraints, no padding
  • Own internal tooling from idea to adoption across deployment teams
  • Kill projects that stop earning their keep, in writing, with reasons

What we look for

  • Technical depth: you read code, query data, and hold your own in architecture reviews
  • Product judgment shaped by real users, not frameworks
  • Ruthless prioritization in a company where everything looks important
  • You write the roadmap update people actually read
Remote-flexible · Unlimited PTO · Hardware and frontier AI budget Apply for this role →

A services company that preaches leverage has to run on it. You own our internal machine: engagement tracking, documentation standards, tooling, and the written cadence that replaces meetings. Pivoting into tech from operations, program management, or adjacent fields is welcome here.

What you will do

  • Run the internal engagement machinery: from Signal intake through Steady state handoff
  • Own documentation standards and make the pattern library actually usable
  • Automate our own bottlenecks with the same tools we deploy for clients
  • Keep the async-first culture honest: fewer meetings, better documents

What we look for

  • Operations excellence from any industry; tech background optional, tech curiosity mandatory
  • AI tooling as a daily working habit. You automate your own job continuously
  • Organized in a way that makes other people calmer
  • Direct, warm, and clear in writing

02The Bar

We do not hire for credentials. We hire for these six things.

Agency

You have shipped things nobody assigned you. This is the single strongest predictor of success here.

Range

Comfortable being a beginner in a new domain weekly. Specialization in one tool is not the asset it used to be.

AI fluency

As a working habit, not an interest. The difference is visible in five minutes of watching someone work.

Client trust

You can sit with a skeptical operations manager and be believed. Calm beats charisma.

Written clarity

Most of the job is writing. Someone who writes muddily will deliver muddily.

Judgment

Knowing what not to build is the most valuable and rarest trait we screen for.

03Apply

Three minutes. No cover letter.

What happens next: a human reads your application, usually within a week. If there is a fit now, we talk. If the fit is real but the timing is 2027, we say exactly that and keep you warm with real updates, not newsletters.

The strongest thing you can send is not a resume. It is a link to something you shipped that nobody assigned you. A tool, a system, a writeup, a repo. That is the bar, and it is the whole bar.

We read everything. We answer everything. That is rare on purpose.
